A little snow by tonight.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For Today- 12/13: We are into the wind up to the first signs of change that we have seen in the western weather pattern in a while but expect sunny skies early and high clouds building through the day. These will spread in from the north to south and keep temperatures slightly cooler ahead of colder air moving in with moisture. This will not be a huge snow event but will produce 1-2 on the resort tapering to a collection of traces for Gunni but is the start of a bigger change.
Temperatures: Overnight lows dropped to 3 for Gunni and a warmer 7 for CB. Highs will reach 39 for CB and 41 for Gunni ahead of the cooler air today but expect a steady change and gusting winds into the afternoon. Lows tonight will be moderated by the clouds and will hold in the low to mid teens.
Outlook: Snow showers will linger on the divide through the morning but then clear through Thursday afternoon and Friday. A next round comes in Saturday and will further flatten this ridge but with just an inch or two possible. Expect a sloppier flow with some clouds in the mix with a positive change on tap for next week.
