Gray Bird.

TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For Today- 3/22: We are getting a heavy taste of the gray bird this morning as we start to see the southwestern flow take over. A low ceiling has kept overnight temperatures warm hovering right at the freezing mark and this will mean another warmer day even without the sun. Expect spotty sunshine burning through with some gusting winds keeping everything moving. Have light layers but it will be warm.

Temperatures: Overnight lows barely dropped to freezing at 32 for Gunnison and 30 for Crested Butte. Highs will climb even with the cloud cover to the mid to high 40’s for all elevations. Lows tonight should be colder but still in the mid 20’s.

Outlook: We are seeing a knuckleball of a western system moving our way with models pointing in small but significantly different directions on every run. It will be a dance between the cold front from the north and the warm wet from the southwest. The latest runs have the best snow through Thursday and into Friday with 3-6 possible but huge variables persist. Leave the freezer door open and do your snow dance.
