TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update: 9/3/10 For Today: This high pressure ridge is continuing to hold and so are the clear and sunny conditions across our area. We can expect the same breezy conditions early to give way to higher gusts in the afternoon but that’s about it for challenges to the blue skies. Temperatures: Overnight lows have continued to drop under the clear skies with Crested Butte reporting 33 degrees this morning and Gunnison staying a bit warmer at 35. Daytime highs will hit 70 for Crested Butte and 77 for Gunnison. We will see another cold clear night tonight with all elevations in the mid to low 30’s and a light freeze is not out of the question. Outlook: A trough from the west will flatten the high pressure ridge in the west drawing in a cold front from the north for Monday and a slight increase in moisture for the north. Aside from that skies are expected to stay clear with seasonably warm daytime highs but continued cold nights.
