TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For Today- 5/26: The high winds we saw associated with this last round of moisture have cleared us a drier slot than initially forecast buying us more time through this afternoon. Look for pockets of cloud cover and scattered cells lingering as remnants through the morning on the higher terrain with skies clearing through the middle of the day. We will see some convective thundershowers mostly limited to the higher terrain late this afternoon but Gunni should stay on the drier side of this. Be prepared for hit or miss systems but there should be plenty of sun.

Temperatures: Lows were slightly cooler but still held to 34 for Crested Butte and 38 for Gunnison. Highs will reach 66 for Gunni and 60 for CB by the afternoon. Lows tonight will be in the mid to high 30’s again.

Outlook: We have lots of events in the valley for this holiday weekend and the Growler going on at Hartman Rocks. A looping low draws moisture down from the north but will skip along the divide with portions on our side but just how far south it digs is the variable. Expect the most potential at the north end of the valley with hit or miss systems possible all day Saturday and Sunday afternoon while Gunni sees drier conditions until Saturday afternoon and most of Sunday. Get out but be prepared.
