9/21- A beautiful fall day.
Crested Butte Weather and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- Today- 9/21: Dry air has moved in and we have seen overnight temperatures plummet serving up a cold clear start. We won’t see much more than a few token clouds with continued gusting winds into the afternoon allowing highs to bump up a few degrees so have layers.
Temperatures: Overnight lows dropped to 21 for Crested Butte and 26 for Gunnison. Highs today will reach 68 for Gunni and 63 for CB. Lows tonight will gain a degree or two but hold in the 20s.
Outlook: High pressure has set up in the west and will serve up clear dry conditions with temperatures seesawing back towards normal by the weekend. Another trough dropping in from the northwest will turn the pattern from the northwest to the west and help feed warmer temperatures as the week closes. Overnight lows will stay cold so be prepared. This northern trough turns into a cut off low over CA as we head into the weekend and keeps us dry with temperatures back at seasonal norms and climbing.
