3/26: A first real shot of spring.
Crested Butte Weather and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update-For Today- 3/26:Our dry slot will start to thin today as the base of this western trough moves in our direction. We will see an even stronger surge of mild air from the south driving daytime highs up with a real shot of spring. Have layers with a huge temperature swing from the colder clear morning through the highs this afternoon.
Temperatures: Overnight lows dropped under the clear skies to 12 for Gunnison and 6 for Crested Butte. Highs will peak at 40 for CB and 44 for Gunni by the afternoon. Lows tonight will gain a degree or two but hold right around 10.
Outlook: We remain on the southern end of this western trough through Wednesday with just enough cloud cover for filtered sun but also more of this mild southwestern flow. Temperatures will gain another degree or two with Gunni flirting with 50 but clouds may keep it a little cooler. Clouds thicken into Thursday and we will see snow showers into the afternoon and cooler temperatures with that trend extending into Friday and to start the weekend.
