8/11: More of the same.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- Today-8/11: The flow switched to the southeast yesterday with moisture moving through to the northwest. This continues through today with models showing increased moisture and more prevalent storms but the upslope flow rarely produces for us so our results will be less predictable. Look for another day a lot like yesterday but with some of these cells actually producing rains and remember to keep an eye to the east.
Temperatures: Overnight lows were cooler at 42 for Crested Butte and 50 for Gunnison. Highs will look like yesterday at 86 for Gunni and 81 for CB. Lows tonight will look the same.
Outlook: The center of the high gets pushed from the northwest to southeast as we head into the weekend drawing more moisture into the area. This will push precipitable water levels up fueling more consistent afternoon showers but the trend of sunny mornings continues. The change into the weekend will be that afternoon cells will likely produce rains and the more southern flow could feed us remnants that last after dark. Build up will be remain hit or miss through Sunday with a more concentrated flow building in Monday that could mean a wetter start to the new week.
