TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 12/23: We are seeing some scattered cloud cover in the mix today with a colder night set to tee up another huge temperature swing as daytime highs continue to challenge records. Expect another day a lot like yesterday with few variables besides the temperatures.
Temperatures: Lows dropped to 10 for CB and 5 for Gunni. Highs will rebound to 45 for Gunni and 43 for CB. Lows tonight will be a little warmer with increased clouds.
Outlook: This moisture will be lifting in from the southwest through the day on Wednesday with cloud cover early turning to snow showers in the late afternoon. Snow levels will be a variable with rain possible to start for Gunni with a sloppy mix developing on area roads and especially the passes. Models are continuing to be split on how this plays out with a lot of the right components in play for snow but temperatures may inhibit efficient snow production. Our best chance at a few inches will come through Thursday with a lull possible through Friday and then more snow into the weekend but with the same variables.
