This year marks 30 years that I have owned CBTV. In this time, I have seen so many changes in the industry from both the technology used to distribute it and more significantly, the way people view it. Through all the changes, the real secret to success remains the same. You need to meet the people where they are, with what they want to see. Historically options were limited but these days we have Apple TV, Roku and Fire TV Apps along with multiple web streaming options built on the base of the old standby, channel 10 on the Cable System. This combination keeps us in local bars, hotels, homes and short term rentals but has also opened the door for thousands of subscribers from the Front Range, Western Slope, other states and more than a few different countries. In addition, new this fall, we are expanding to Buena Vista, Salida, Telluride and the entire Southwest Colorado TV System which reaches down into Utah and New Mexico. Our programming will remain the same with some from Outside TV but also a mix of specially curated classics from film festivals to throwbacks like old school Stump. We will continue to focus on local weather and outdoor conditions working with partners like CDOT, CAIC and CBAC to help locals and tourists recreate and travel safety in the mountains while getting the most out of busy days.
